Rachel Stevenson is a Senior Legislative Associate at Wheat Government Relations. Before joining the firm in the fall of 2010, Rachel spent over three and a half years working on Capitol Hill as a key staffer to Bart Stupak (D-MI), Chairman of the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations.
In addition to guiding legislative activity for Congressman Stupak, she had responsibility for managing and coordinating staff priorities between the Washington DC Staff and the District Staff. Her unique perspective of the inner workings of Capitol Hill offers Wheat Government Relations clientele a valuable tool in navigating the halls of Congress.

Prior to working for Congressman Stupak, Rachel worked as field organizer for the Iowa Democratic Party. She was responsible for field operations in over 180 precincts in Polk County. Under her leadership, she won every race in Polk County with over 10,000 votes above projected margins.
Rachel Stevenson earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from American University in Political Science, and Interdisciplinary Studies in Communication, Legal Institutions, Economics and Government. She is currently working on her Master of Arts in Global Security Studies from Johns Hopkins University.
